Hi,

when starting gimp from kphotoalbum (context menu, start external program...)
gimp does just show empty tool tips.
There is no problem when gimp is started directly.
There is also no problem when gimp is started from digicam.

System is openSuseLeap 42.2, kde 5, qt 5.6.1.
kphotoalbum is 5.1

Cheers,
Reimar

Hi Reimar,
as I am also using 42.2, I just tested this behavior. Usually i don't
look at the tool tips anymore, but ...
They all showed with white text on nearly white background - quite
invisible indeed. Independent of the startup method of gimp.
However, after I fiddled a bit with the window theme and other display
settings, I got white text on dark grey background - also independent of
the startup method.
So, the problem might go away, if you also play with these settings. It
might be a KDE issue with upgrading the distro from whatever to 42.2.
Cheers, Andreas
Hi Andreas,

thanks a lot.

Now I've unchecked the "use color for non-qt-apps - button".

That helped.

Cheers,
Reimar
